The Team

Born in Finland, Arja completed her veterinarian studies in Tartu, Estonia. She graduated from Estonia University of Life Sciences, EMU in 2013, with a degree of DVM. Arja obtained her limited registration to practice as a veterinarian in Australia in 2019 and completed her AVBC AVE examination in 2021.  Before joining Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centre, Arja completed an 18 month internship in equine internal medicine, surgery and sports medicine at the University of Sydney Veterinary Teaching Hospital. She enjoys the diversity of cases including internal medicine, sports medicine, ophthalmology and neonatal care. Arja recently obtained another credential of post grad with the University of Liverpool with PgCert in Veterinary Professional Studies and CertAVP with RCVS. Arja and her dog Sparky are currently learning to work stock at HSDTC being active red dot members in sheep herding.
